Elegance

Contains 45% Creeping Red Fescue, 45% Chewings Fescue and 10% Colonial Bentgrass.

The name says it all! Elegance is your classic English show lawn. The two fine fescues and Bentgrass create a fine upright luxurious lawn that will withstand very high to very low mowing. Elegance is also very shade tolerant which is very desirable on a site with mature trees or any areas with reduced sunlight hours. Even though Elegance is all these things, it can still be a very tough low maintenance lawn if you are not interested in having it perfect. It will brown off over summer but bounce back with Autumn rain and some fertiliser. This mix is beautiful but still tough!

Pros

• Exceptionally fine and attractive
• Mid-green colour
• Shade and full sun tolerant
• Once fully established it chokes out many weeds.

Cons

• Can be slow to germinate and establish. Do not use this mix if you are in a hurry.
• Can develop elevated levels of thatch which will need to be removed from time to time to increase water and air movement to the root zone.
• Not very wear tolerant, so not the best choice for footy active kids or dogs.
